Sky City Bulk Stormwater and Sewer Project
Client: Cosmopolitan Projects Johannesburg (PTY) Ltd

 The Bulk Stormwater and Bulk Sewer Related Infrastructure of  Sky City Mega Housing Development is funded by Cosmopolitan Projects Johannesburg (PTY) Ltd.

More specifically, the project entails the construction of:
• Gravity bulk outfall sewer that consisted of a 350mm diameter to 500mm diameter pipeline tying into an existing Germiston   1500mm diameter outfall sewer.

• Cut-off channel that catches surface runoff from a catchment of 640 000m2 that is conveyed through a double-barrel 900mm diameter concrete pipe.

• Rehabilitation dams that will receive surface flow from various inlets and discharge stormwater runoff at different discharge points.

• Rehabilitation of borrow pits to effectively halt and reverse degradation, improve ecosystem services and recover biodiversity.

• Attenuation facilities to be constructed on D3 - Dolomitic designated risk areas.

• The final constructed layer of each attenuation pond has a 150mm soil mix made up of 5% sodium bentonite.

• Depth limitation of attenuation facilities due to ground slopes and dolomitic risk conditions.

• Lower-lying areas that would require pumping of sewer effluent to an existing outfall sewer.

Construction started in August 2021 and was completed in January 2023....

New Modder Extension 8
Client: Valumax (PTY) Ltd

The New Modder Project is an integrated housing development within the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (COE) and was developed by Valumax (Pty) Ltd. The development is located just off of Snake Road Off-ramp (N12) in the suburb of New Modder, Benoni.

Construction commenced in January 2022 and completion was in November 2022. The completed project included 688 single residential units.

The scope of work included the provision of internal engineering services such as water, sanitation, roads and stormwater, a road intersection upgrade and a link sewer had to be constructed....

The New Modder Project is an integrated housing development within the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (COE) and was developed by Valumax (Pty) Ltd. The development is located just off of Snake Road Off-ramp (N12) in the suburb of New Modder, Benoni.

The Palm Ridge Project is an integrated housing development within the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (COE). The development is located immediately south-east of the Palm Ridge Residential Development (Extensions 35 and 38) and south of the Heidelberg Road (R550 / Future K154) towards Nigel.

Once completed, the development aims to offer 762 residential units, consisting of single residential units.

The scope of work includes the provision of internal engineering services such as water, sanitation, roads and stormwater and Construction commenced in January 2023 and completion should be by the end of November 2023....

Infraconsult Engineering was appointed as consulting engineers for this residential development that has the potential of 655 residential units.

The scope of work includes the provision of internal engineering services such as water, sanitation, roads and stormwater and Construction commenced in June 2023 and completion should be by June 2024....
